back in the land of the volcanoso i'm back home with my little man after a traumatic experience for us both.
i'll certainly remember it forever, i hope not so much so him. i gave him homeopathic remedies throughout including one to release negative memories and the like.
i was cool as a cucumber on the day, though it took 3 of us to hold him down while he screamed like a banshee, singing to him and looking into his eyes. 2 days later, however, i was vomiting like a mad thing. impressive what emotions can do.
he, within 24 hours was as if it had never happened, apart from walking like john wayne for a few days after.
anyway, his 1st bit of dead skin fell off today, which means he's on his way to a full recovery.
circumcision - ouchwel i just had one of the worst experiences of my life... and it was really an indirect one as the event actually happened to my baby boy - it's the first time i feel pain on behalf of someone else and with guilt attached too. last thursday my 2 year old was circumcised. it took 3 adults to hold him down as he screamed and struggled like i've never seen before. i felt such an evil witch subjecting him to the pain and discomfort. and i'm terrified that his first memory will be of his mother holding him down while some random guy cuts his willy off. his strength was impressive. he's actually fine now, though i was sick as a dog for 24 hours - literally vomiting. so am i evil? ADVICE PLS!!! circumcision - ring or knife?i'm taking my son to england tomorrow to get him circumcised and i would really like to hear from anyone with experience as to whether to go ring or cut. he's 2 and 3 months. i see the doc on tuesday and get the deed done on thursday so info gratefully received before then. i'm a little nervous on his behalf and had thought the ring method sounded fantastic but yesterday i had a mum tell me she had a horror story experience with her 1st boy and didn't do the other 2 as a result. now i'd like to hear other views to get a more rounded picture. My mood: somewhat sleepy
